Today, at the VTM trade show in Turin, Italy, the software company CarmentaAutomotive, and IVECO agreed to cooperate in the field of connected services for the IVECO fleet. The event was hosted by the Ambassador of Sweden in Italy, Mr Jan Björklund. 

The cooperation focuses on evaluating the potential implementation of CarmentaAutomotive’s product, TrafficWatchTM , on IVECO’s off-board cloud platform. This integration aims to enhance driver awareness of their surroundings while operating a vehicle.

TrafficWatch analyses information from the vehicle fleet, road infrastructure and other situational awareness data. The solution – which is currently undergoing testing and final tuning- is designed to connect to IVECO’s vehicle platform and integrated into its off-board cloud solution. It will deliver tailored  awareness messages for IVECO’s connected fleet, ensuring drivers are constantly informed of any hazardous events on the road ahead. 

The TrafficWatch product from CarmentaAutomotive is a cloud-based situational awareness software product for the efficient and safer operation of connected and autonomous vehicles. TrafficWatch supervises vehicle operations by collecting and analysing data about the surrounding environment and traffic situation, acting as a cloud-based decision support system. TrafficWatch™ comes with a broad range of communication options and support for V2X data transport standards.
